The General Office of the State Council of China issued the "Notice on Printing and Distributing the Comprehensive Work Plan for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction during the 12th Five-Year Plan Period". LED, power electronic devices, energy-saving services, and contract energy management will benefit from the "Notice".
The support for LED lighting in the "Notice" is reflected in three aspects: first, accelerating the industrialization of technology, proposing to "focus on supporting technologies such as rare earth permanent magnet motors and semiconductor lighting"; second, guiding consumer orientation among residents, proposing to "promote the use of energy-efficient household appliances and lighting products among residents"; third, improving financial incentives, proposing to "promote energy-efficient household appliances and lighting products through financial subsidies".
The "Notice" points out that "promoting energy-saving renovations and operational management", "strengthening the construction of energy consumption monitoring platforms and energy-saving supervision systems", and "researching the establishment of a contract energy management project energy-saving quantity audit and trading system". "Accelerate the implementation of contract energy management, implement support policies such as finance, taxation, and finance, and guide specialized energy-saving service companies to adopt contract energy management methods to implement energy-saving renovations for energy-consuming units, supporting and expanding the energy-saving service industry."
