How to analyze the faults of LED bracket lights? Doing so can save energy!

If everyone finds that the LED bracket light has a malfunction while using it, how should these faults be analyzed? We can analyze the faults from aspects such as the light source failure, power supply failure, and heat sink, etc. Moreover, during the usage process, we can also implement a series of measures for energy saving. In this article, I will provide a detailed introduction on the fault analysis of LED bracket lights and their energy-saving measures, so let's take a look!

Fault analysis of LED bracket lights:

1. Light source failure

The assembly process of the LED bracket light is not perfect, and the lamp beads cannot have good contact with the heat sink, and the thermal paste is applied unevenly. Additionally, if the lamp beads themselves are of poor quality, prolonged lighting time can also cause them to burn out.

2. Power supply failure

Power supply issues arise because some manufacturers pursue low product prices and use inferior power supplies, leading to substandard product quality. After prolonged use, issues such as burning out the light, flickering, or the LED bracket light dimming after a while can occur.

3. Heat sink

The heat sink of the LED bracket light is made with cost-cutting measures, failing to achieve good heat dissipation, resulting in excessive and rapid temperature rise of the fixture.

Energy-saving measures for LED bracket lights:

1. Reasonably adjust the number and duration of lighting

Road lighting should comprehensively promote midnight lights, with main and secondary roads implementing dual circuit power supply, dividing into full-night light circuits and midnight light circuits. Those that can provide a dedicated midnight light circuit unconditionally can use single-phase midnight power supply, but the entire transformer should maintain three-phase balance; for branch roads, industrial areas, and residential areas with narrow streets, a single-sided midnight light method should be adopted. Urban lighting is generally only turned on during periods when citizens are more active outdoors.

2. Choose light sources with high luminous efficiency

Energy saving of the light source mainly depends on the luminous efficiency of the LED bracket light, but the selection of the light source should not be based solely on luminous efficacy. It should be considered comprehensively based on color rendering index, service life, starting characteristics, etc. The principles for selecting light sources are: minimize the use of incandescent lamps; promote the use of LED bracket lights; gradually reduce the use of high-pressure mercury lamps.

3. Choose high-quality and efficient fixtures

When selecting fixtures, the following aspects should be considered: they should have a high utilization coefficient; reasonably choose the light distribution; prioritize the use of panel-type fixtures; try to choose fixtures without accessories; and select fixtures with a high maintenance rate. Self-ballasted high-pressure mercury lamps should not be used indiscriminately; actively promote LED bracket lights.
