According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to March 2015, the cumulative export value of the national lighting fixture industry reached 7.333 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 29.40%. Among them, the cumulative export value of lamps and lighting devices was 6.645 billion USD (accounting for 90.62%), with a year-on-year increase of 29.7%; the cumulative export value of parts for lamps and lighting devices was 615 million USD (accounting for 8.39%), with a year-on-year increase of 27.49%; the cumulative export value of luminous signs, nameplates, and similar products was 73 million USD (accounting for 0.99%), with a year-on-year increase of 18.63%.

In the first quarter of 2015, the cumulative import value of the national lighting fixture industry reached 116 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 6.71%. The regions with a significant share of cumulative imports include Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Beijing, and Shandong. Among them: Shanghai's cumulative import value was 33 million USD (accounting for 28.89%), with a year-on-year increase of 5.38%; Guangdong's cumulative import value was 29 million USD (accounting for 24.93%), with a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.

From the distribution of sub-industries, the cumulative import value of electric light sources (bulbs) was 235 million USD (accounting for 63.82%), with a year-on-year increase of 1.49%; the cumulative import value of lighting fixtures was 116 million USD (accounting for 31.38%), with a year-on-year increase of 6.71%; the cumulative import value of ballasts for discharge lamps or discharge tubes was 12 million USD (accounting for 3.18%), with a year-on-year decrease of 37.06%; the cumulative import value of self-powered lighting devices and their parts was 6 million USD (accounting for 1.62%), with a year-on-year decrease of 28.52%.

From January to April, the cumulative production of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) nationwide increased by 36.41% year-on-year.

From January to April 2015, the cumulative production of the national LED industry reached 107.069 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 36.41%, mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang. Among them: Guangdong's cumulative production was 71.653 billion pieces (accounting for 66.92%), with a year-on-year increase of 64.76%.

From January to April, the cumulative loss of the national lighting industry increased by 19.14% year-on-year.

From January to April 2015, the cumulative loss of the national lighting industry reached 926 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.14%, mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Fujian. Among them: Guangdong Province's cumulative loss was 277 million yuan (accounting for 29.95%), with a year-on-year increase of 45.72%.

In addition, regarding the proportion of sub-industry losses, the cumulative loss of lighting fixture manufacturing was 615 million yuan (accounting for 66.42%), with a year-on-year increase of 11.84%; the cumulative loss of electric light source manufacturing was 214 million yuan (accounting for 23.07%), with a year-on-year increase of 31.44%; the cumulative loss of lamp electrical accessories and other lighting device manufacturing was 97 million yuan (accounting for 10.51%), with a year-on-year increase of 50.19%.

From January to May 2015, the cumulative production of incandescent bulbs nationwide reached 1.702 billion pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 0.39%. The production was mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Hebei, and Zhejiang. Among them: Jiangsu's cumulative production was 685 million pieces (accounting for 40.24%), with a year-on-year decrease of 6.15%.

From January to May 2015, the cumulative production of fluorescent lamps nationwide reached 1.575 billion pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 4.93%. From the regional distribution, the production was mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangxi. Among them: Jiangsu's cumulative production was 446 million pieces (accounting for 28.32%), with a year-on-year increase of 18.06%; Zhejiang's cumulative production was 331 million pieces (accounting for 21%), with a year-on-year decrease of 14.25%.
