Application of explosion-proof LED roadway lights in mines

Explosion-proof LED mine lamp Roadway lamp Applied to Coal mines underground with coal seam gas (methane gas family) and coal dust explosion hazards; coal roadway in the mine, and can also be used in basic construction mine roadways and chambers with relatively large water spraying.

  1. Suitable for use as mobile lighting in underground roadways and chambers in coal mines.

  2. Suitable for coal mine environments with hazardous mixtures of methane gas and dust.

Matters not covered are based on the difficulties encountered by students in their actual work, for reference only. Please communicate and correct any problems.

Matters needing attention for LED roadway lamps:

  1. Mine explosion-proof lamps should be cleaned regularly to remove dust and dirt from the lamp housing, keeping the housing clean to improve lighting efficiency and heat dissipation. The cleaning method depends on the safety protection level of the lamp housing. If the waterproof rating is IP65, where 6 represents the dustproof level, completely prevent dust from entering. For waterproof levels, tap water cleaning will not cause any damage. When cleaning with high-pressure water jets, the power should be turned off, and dry cloths should not be used to clean the plastic outer casing (transparent) to prevent static electricity.

  2. Check whether the transparent parts have any impact marks from dirt, and whether the safety net is loose, welded, or corroded. If so, it should be stopped and repaired and replaced in time.

  3. If there is water in the lamp cavity of lamps commonly used in humid environments, it should be removed in time, and sealing components should be replaced to ensure the safety protection characteristics of the housing.

  4. After opening the cover, check whether the explosion-proof sealing surface is intact, whether the seal is hardened or sticky, whether the cable sheath is yellowed or carbonized, and whether there is deformation or mildew on the insulation and electrical components. If any problems are found, they should be repaired and replaced in time.

  5. Before construction, the explosion-proof type, type, grade, and level; waterproof level of the metal casing; installation method and requirements for standard parts used can be checked from the factory nameplate and product manual. The roadway lamp installation should be firmly fixed, and the fastening screws should not be arbitrarily replaced, and the spring washers should be complete.

  6. When installing the anti-fouling and moisture-proof sealing rings, they should be placed in their original positions; at the cable entry point, the cable and sealing gasket should cooperate, the cross-section of the cable should be circular, and the surface of the cable sheath should not have defects such as bumps. Excess entry points must be sealed according to the explosion-proof type, and the clamping nuts tightened to seal the entry points.

  7. Check whether the transparent parts have any impact marks from dirt, and whether the safety net is loose, welded, or corroded. If so, it should be stopped and repaired and replaced in time.

  8. When opening the lamp cover, the power should be turned off according to the warning sign before opening the cover.
