The difference between LED alley lights and bracket lights
Jan 10,2023
There's some confusion regarding the use of lights in the mine. Let's briefly discuss this here. LED roadway lights and the specific differences between them and support lights.
1. Firstly, in terms of material, tunnel lights are generally made of aluminum alloy, while support lights are more complex and can be made of iron, steel, stainless steel, etc.
2. In addition to the place of use, roadway lights are generally used in roadways, while support lights must be used in coal mining faces; they can also be used in roadways. It can be understood that roadway lights are simpler to use, while support lights can be used anywhere.
3. Finally, in terms of price, for the same wattage, support lights are more expensive than roadway lights due to differences in materials and manufacturing processes.
Notes:
If used in roadways or with roadway lights, the cost-effectiveness of support lights is not very high.
Of course, tunnel lights and support lights are separate, and their intrinsic safety explosion-proof methods are also different.
Specific classifications of LED roadway lights:
1. Classification according to the protection level of the enclosure
In order to prevent dust, solid foreign objects, and water from entering the lamp cavity and contacting or accumulating on energized components, causing flashover, short circuits, or damage to electrical insulation, various enclosure protection methods are used to protect the electrical insulation.
The letters “IP” followed by two numbers are used to indicate the enclosure protection level. The first number indicates the protection capability against people, solid foreign objects, or dust, ranging from 0-6. LED roadway lights are sealed lights with a dust protection capability of at least level 4. The second number indicates the waterproof capability, ranging from 0-8.
2. Classification according to the supporting surface material of the lamp design.
Indoor LED roadway lights may be installed on many surfaces made of common combustible materials, such as wooden walls and ceilings. They do not allow the surface temperature of the LED roadway lights to exceed the safe value. Based on whether the LED roadway lights can be directly installed on ordinary combustible surfaces, they are divided into two categories.
