Landscape lighting enriches the cultural life of the city and brings people closer to nature. Since landscape lighting extends the time tourists spend visiting at night and provides diverse experiences, it further promotes the development of the night tourism economy.

The lighting design for landscape lighting is different from other types of projects. Although they all use light and shadow to delineate space and create visual impact, the main focus of a product launch is the product, and the main focus of a concert is the artist. However, the main focus of landscape lighting is the natural scenery. In addition, during product launches and concerts, the audience faces the stage to watch the performance, but in landscape lighting, most of the audience is immersed in the experience. The vast visuals make it impossible for them to see the entire layout, so when designing or programming, the entire large visual should be set up in multiple parts for operation, and each part can also be spliced together to create a huge picture.

A successful landscape lighting plan should be integrated into the design at an early stage, combining landscape characteristics with the surrounding environment, and expressing its unique form and spatial content through light, shadow, and sound, thus giving the real landscape a new experiential content and value. Currently, landscape lighting in the country is still in the exploratory stage and has not yet formed a relatively complete system. I will share my experiences from three landscape lighting projects I have participated in in recent years, discussing the entire process from early design to later implementation.

Light has rich colors that can shape the landscape effect. For us, different colors lead to significant differences in perception. Colors can make people feel happy or evoke feelings of sadness. Proper use of color can effectively enhance the immersive experience of the commercial atmosphere.

When applying color in nighttime lighting environments, it is necessary to fully consider the changes and unity of colors, grasp the overall tone of the space, and take into account the contrast, color weaving, rhythm, and shaping of the rhythm.

For the night scene lighting design in commercial areas, it is necessary to combine the desired landscape intentions and characteristics, and correctly apply the balance of colors. This can present different visual effects. At the same time, color contrast can create rich, eye-catching, and vibrant artistic effects. Designers need to pay attention to the harmony of color contrast and reasonably match the intensity of color light sources.

When shaping the nighttime landscape atmosphere, it is necessary to present it through the rhythm of the light, that is, to alternate colored light waves according to certain rules to present a dynamic or static atmosphere, thereby greatly enlivening the atmosphere.
