　　Dark adaptation refers to the ability of the human eye to adapt when the environment changes from light to dark. Drivers of various motor vehicles must have good night vision and rapid dark adaptation. The quality of the driver's night vision and dark-adaptive ability directly affects the safety of drivers and passengers.
