Overview
Schools and libraries are places for learning. The lighting should fully consider reading and writing with sufficient brightness, choose a light source close to natural light efficiency, avoid stroboscopic and glare, improve learning comfort and protect eyesight health. Set up emergency lighting facilities in passage and corridor areas to ensure safety.
1. Elements that must be considered in school lighting design
The following elements must be considered:
·Architectural pattern and school style
·Building materials or decorative materials
· Functional division and floor height of interior space
Lighting forms and lighting parameters determined by architectural and decorative design
·Technical parameters of main decorative materials, etc.
Illumination reference table for each functional area:
Area Type/Location | Reference plane and its height | Illuminance standard value (Lx) | UGR | Ra |
campus gate | counter top | 300 | 22 | 80 |
ordinary classroom | 0.75 horizontal plane | 300 | 19 | 80 |
amphitheatre | 0.75 horizontal plane | 300-500 | 22 | 80 |
Multimedia Classroom | 0.75 horizontal plane | 300 | 19 | 80 |
laboratory | Experimental desktop | 300 | 19 | 80 |
library | 0.75 horizontal plane | 500 | 19 | 90 |
reading room | 0.75 horizontal plane | 300 | 19 | 80 |
indoor Stadium | 0.75 horizontal plane | 500 | / | 80 |
2. Lighting design guidance for key functional areas
campus gate
As the living business card of a school, the school gate is also an important part of the campus environment and culture, and it is also one of the important landmark landscapes of the school. Therefore, according to the cultural characteristics of each school, individualized modeling should be carried out. In the lighting design, warm yellow light should be used, and yellow floodlights should be used to highlight the distinctive characteristics of the school as a whole.
ordinary classroom
The utilization rate of ordinary classrooms is relatively high. While making full use of natural light, appropriate artificial lighting is used as a supplement, so that a very good lighting effect can be achieved whether it is day or night. To ensure sufficient illumination for normal learning and teachers' work, the illumination is generally maintained at 300Lx.
The lighting requirements are as follows:
·Guarantee the visual target horizontal and vertical illumination requirements to meet students' reading, writing, painting, etc.
· Satisfy the face-to-face communication between students. And can play a role in guiding students' attention to the teaching or demonstration area.
· Ability to control or adapt to different presentation and teaching situations, taking into account the impact of natural light.
·It can satisfy color rendering, control glare and protect eyesight.
Since the blackboard is placed vertically, the focus of blackboard lighting is to improve the vertical illuminance of the blackboard, so as to provide students with a bright and comfortable lighting environment for them to see and study clearly. Special blackboard lamps are required to illuminate the blackboard to achieve Requirements for blackboard lighting. The illumination is generally 500Lx.
The requirements for blackboard lighting are as follows:
In order to make it easy for students to see the content of the blackboard, the light curtain reflection generated by the blackboard should be eliminated as much as possible;
·Students will not be disturbed by direct light from blackboard lighting;
· Teachers in class will not be disturbed by direct light from blackboard lighting
Ensure that the blackboard has sufficient vertical illumination and good illumination uniformity, and at the same time requires that the edge brightness is not less than 1/3 of the center brightness.
amphitheatre
The number of lamps in the ladder classroom is large, and the glare interference increases. It is advisable to choose lamps with better glare limiting performance. It is also necessary to pay attention to concealment of lighting fixtures with large glare. In order to reduce the effect of light curtain reflection and glare, light strips (continuous or discontinuous) and multi-tube block lighting solutions are recommended, and single-tube lighting solutions are not recommended.
When the amphitheater is lit from one side or has shading facilities outside the window, when the natural lighting during the day is not enough, it needs to be supplemented by artificial lighting for constant adjustment. In order to improve the brightness distribution in the classroom and facilitate the constant adjustment of artificial lighting and energy saving, it is advisable to control the lamps in the classrooms far and near from the windows separately, and install independent switches to achieve the above-mentioned artificial lighting to the constant change of natural lighting. adjustment function.
Ladder classrooms are generally equipped with upper and lower blackboards (up and down alternately sliding), and the illumination should be uniform. One solution is to use higher-power dedicated lamps. Another solution is that the upper and lower blackboards are illuminated by two sets of special lamps for ordinary blackboards, but it should be noted that the light source capacity in the special lamps for the upper blackboard should be 1/2 to 3/4 of the capacity of the lower light source.
Lamps should be installed on the ceiling or embedded. When using the hanging installation method, it should be noted that the installation height of the lamps in the front row should not block the sight of the students in the rear row and cause direct glare, nor should it affect the effects of projection and projection.
Multimedia Classroom
Multimedia classrooms are usually equipped with projectors and large screens. In order for students to see the content of the screen clearly without affecting other visual requirements of the audience, the general lighting near the screen should be independently turned off, which is conducive to improving students' learning efficiency and learning effect. .
laboratory
The laboratory may be divided into different areas according to the different users, and most laboratories are equipped with computers. Therefore, a mixed lighting approach is recommended. Use indirect or semi-direct luminaires for lighting to create a bright, visually-friendly work-study environment. For places that require special lighting, local lighting with sufficient illuminance can be added for local areas that need to be carefully observed and recorded on the laboratory bench.
library
The library is the school's document information center and an academic institution serving the whole school's teaching and scientific research. It bears the dual functions of education and information service, and is also an important place for teachers and students to study and research. In the design of the library tube lighting system, we mainly start from the aspects of health, environmental protection and energy saving.
The main visual tasks in the library are reading, finding books, etc. In addition to meeting illuminance standards, lighting design should strive to improve lighting quality, especially to reduce glare and light curtain reflection.
The reading room and library have a large number of lights installed, so energy-saving measures should be taken into account in the design of lamps, lighting methods, control schemes and equipment, management and maintenance, etc.
·Emergency lighting, duty lighting or guard lighting should be set up in important libraries. Emergency lighting, duty lighting or guard lighting should be part of general lighting and should be controlled separately. On-duty or guard lighting can also utilize some or all of the emergency lighting.
·The public lighting in the library and the lighting in the work (office) area should be distributed and controlled separately.
·Pay attention to safety and fire prevention in the selection, installation and arrangement of lamps and lighting equipment.
reading room
The reading room can generally use general lighting or mixed lighting. The reading room with a larger area should adopt the general lighting or mixed lighting. The lighting method of the reading room is shown in the figure:
Schematic diagram of lighting mode
When the general lighting method is adopted, the illuminance of the non-reading area can generally be 1/3 to 1/2 of the average illuminance of the desktop in the reading area. When the mixed lighting method is adopted, the illuminance of general lighting should account for 1/3 to 1/2 of the total illuminance.
indoor Stadium
The main function of the indoor gymnasium is to carry out small sports activities. The ceiling is generally made of light-transmitting materials to meet the basic brightness required during the day. However, when the natural light cannot meet the needs, the lighting system of the venue is also used to supplement the light. The brightness, color rendering and safety of indoor gym lighting are three essential elements, and it is necessary to ensure the uniformity of light and avoid glare.
High-power floodlights and high ceiling lights are used as the main lighting of the venue. Suspended lighting is used. The runways and passages are illuminated by horse paths, and tungsten halogen lamps are used for emergency lighting. All suspended lamps must be equipped with protective glass, and the illuminance should generally be 1000-2000Lx.
